How can I be strong for my family?

Posted in Group:

I have just found out that my lymph nodes are abnormal in my neck, which I ignored a bad xray(for a new job) 2 years ago of a spot on my lower lung. I have not been officially diagnosed yet, but I am almost positive what is going on. I go talk to a surgeon in 2 weeks. Haven't heard how my chest xrays turned out yet. I feel guilty because I did not go back to the doctor when I got a bad xray. It was a small spot on the lower right, and I just started the job and had no insurance. There was no way I could have afforded all the tests. I am 45 yr old female, healthy in every other way. Non smoker. I am so scared, but I want to be strong for my husband, children, and family.. I have lost both my parents to lung cancer and know how hard it is to watch someone you love go through this. I am not scared for me, but for them. How can I be strong?

You are in my prayers. Have faith and say a prayer when you can. Wishing you all good and healthy. God bless you.
